You would have to goggle the topic to see if any colleges [I think New College of Law in San Francisco handles the inestigation of some criminal cases] have programs that cover this type of work.

I know you feel your cousin is innocent. Almost every jail/prison inmate will tell you they are innocent. Get all the facts in the case, talk to the lawyers who defended and prosecuted the case to see if they will tell you anything [it might be confidential].
