You need to be more specific. Are you in state or federal court? If state court, what level is it (small claims, superior w/limited jurisdiction or superior w/ unlimited jurisdiction)? Are you in court at all -- maybe you're interested in appealing a decision of an administrative agency or regulatory board. Was the case civil or criminal? What county or city are you in?

If you can answer these questions I may be able to provide some useful guidance for you.

Remember that timing is also an issue, as all appeals must be brough within a limited time period. Believe it or not, I can't tell you how long you have until I know more about the specifics of your case.
