Legal Question in Appeals and Writs in California
My mother-in-law suffers from severe Schizophrenia and alcoholism. She also has an autistic 36 year old son whom lives with her in her paid-off house. She had her doors knocked down and was physically forced/evicted out of her house on thursday (10-1-2012). She has not been diagnosed because she thinks the whole world is after her, she does not leave her house and lives in horder like unlivable conditions. We have tried to get her help by calling social services in the past but she would not open the door to them. She also refuses to put her autistic son in any programs because of the fear of losing her sons social security/disability check which "funds" her lifestyle. My question is, we were not aware of a "hard cash" loan she took out in 2001 for 55 thousand dollars. She ended up getting eveicted 2 days ago. Now they are on the streets. Does she have any rights to somehow reverse the eviction/auction of her home considering her not being mentally stable? PLEASE HELP

I'm so sorry to hear about your family's ordeal.
Your question really doesn't belong under Appeals and Writs. If you re-post it under General Civil Litigation and/or Consumer Law, it will reach more lawyers with the relevant expertise and you will be more likely to get a substantive response.
Good luck.
I agree with Mr. Hoffman but you might check with the Public Guardian in the county where your mother resides.
