Legal Question in Appeals and Writs in California
Seeking help in opposing a writ
Hello. I am looking for help in filing with OC court. My case has already been completed, and the judge ordered the monies (from a levy on my bank account) to be distributed 25% to the plaintiff (a law firm) and 75% to me. The plaintiffs money, which was $375.00 has already been paid. However, they have filed a memorandum of costs after judgment. In this, they are asking for about 200-300 more, which I am willing to pay, but the writ of execution and the levy based on this memorandum is for over $1000!
I understand that I have to file some sort of opposition, but do not know what or how. So I would like to get some help. The deadline for the levy is 12/18 (I can also tell you why I have not asked for help earlier, if we meet). I also need to find out how to get a satisfaction of judgment order, so that they can not keep coming back for more!
Thank you for your time.
