Legal Question in Banking Law in California
ATM Overpay
I had an ATM pay $100 bills instead of $20.00 bills. I was excited and made the transaction 4 times at $80.00 requests, which yeilded $400.00 bills instead. I thought I struck gold, well my bank sucked $400 x 4 transactions from my account. I understand the Moral and Integrity situation here but is there banking laws that make what I did illegal? Is there recourse on this? Am I in trouble, can I be taken to court or sued over this? Please help.
