Legal Question in Banking Law in California
Bounced check
A company I did some work for either put a stop payment or bounced a check on me in the amount of $3,000. What are my options? I was told I could sue them for 3 x's the amount if they bounced the check, is this true?

Re: Bounced check
Yes, you can. However, Check Civil Code 1719. There are certain requirements before you sue and the max civil damages are $1500.00.
