Legal Question in Banking Law in California
Do I need a DBA or Taxpayer ID for a small group (club) to open a bank account in it's name? Is it different for a Credit Union? Is it different for a Federal Credit Union?

Yes you do need a Taxpayer ID unless you want the transactions on the account to be considered the personal transactions of the treasurer or whomever opens the account.
