Is it legal for me to print my own checks?

I would like to design and print checks for my checking account. Assuming the checks I design have all the proper information on it, is this legal?

It is legal, however your bank may object and charge you additional processing fees since you will not be able to get the special magnetic ink which is used to print checks commercially. You can design your checks and have a check printer make them which would be ok.
