Memo lines of checks
Is it illegal to write ''f%$# you'' or ''suck my balls you f$^%ing crook'' in the memo line of a check while paying a particularly ridiculous bill?

Re: Memo lines of checks
My favorite was the child support debtor who opened a bank account and had checks printed in the fictitious name of "Anal Fetishes Unlimited," or some such, in order to write checks to his ex, who presumably then had to cash them. Of course, most banks and corporations these days process checks mechanically and no human ever sees them. I have also read news accounts of people who have written allegedly obscene messages such as you describe in the memo line of checks made payable to the IRS or the traffic court. I do not recommend this.
