Legal Question in Banking Law in California
No notification of legal order bank levy
I checked my bank account today and to my utter shock almost $4,000 was taken out of my account. My bank also charged me a $100 legal order processing fee.
I have received no letters, no notices, no idea what is going on here. Is this credit fraud or could there possibly be a legal order I haven't responded to? I really don't even know what this could be! I feel utterly helpless.

Re: No notification of legal order bank levy
Could be IRS, or a Court Judgment, or a few other things. Ask Bank for copy of the levy/order.
