Legal Question in Banking Law in California
My sisters ex-boyfriend passed away, she has 2 daughters with him. he had 19,000 dollars in the bank the money was releases to her after 40 day's. The check was later cancelled because the social security on his bank account was not his own, it belonged to his brother. What can she do to get the money for his daughters? who should she talk to? does she need a lawyer? thank you

If it wasn't his money, there is nothing she can do. His daughters are only entitled to money that was his.
