Legal Question in Banking Law in California
I have an X amount of money in bank account where all my paycheck goes in, when i tried to use my ATM i got declined. When i contacted the bank, apparantly i found out that the balance was dropdown to ZERO balance and someone in the bank put on HOLD to my account. From that situation i wasnt able to buy my grocery Food, my Cat Food and GAS. Also the incident cause my husband into depression that i have to rush him to the Hospital. The Question is, does the bank has legal rights to put on HOLD the depositor money?

Banks not only have a right to, they sometimes have a duty to put holds on accounts. Without more details it is impossible to say whether any particular hold was legal or not.
