Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California

After 7 years then what?

I would like to know what am I suppose to do after the 7 years is up for my bankruptcy. I filed Chapter 7.

After 7 years... NOTHING.

The law states you can only file Chapter 7 bankruptcy once every seven years (actually six years plus one day). So you are eligible to file again, if you need to.

Credit information for bankruptcies is on your credit report for 10 years, not 7. Most negative information is on your report for 7 years -- bankruptcy is an exception.

So aside from those two issues, there is nothing you "need to" do.
