Adding creditors after filing

how long after filing do I have and by what process do i add an additional creditor to my bankruptcy?

You can (and should) amend your schedules at any time. The procedure varies depending on where in the process you are. If your case is still open, just file amended schedules on the forms approved by your jurisdiction. If the case is closed, it becomes more complicated and there is probably no need for you to amend anyway then.

Thanks for your posting. As Mr. Markus noted, you can amend your schedules any time after you file. After discharge, you have to petition the court to reopen your case so that you can add a creditor, and that creditor has extra time to object before their particular debt is discharged. Although some of it depends on what type of debt it is, you can have up to a year after the date of your discharge to reopen your case, and then add creditors through an amended schedule.Best of luck,
