Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California

adversary processure and counter-defendant

please tell us what is the adversary processure.

Our church had a law suit againt a crooked mortgage broker in the State court in 1999. He wore 5 different hats in handling our church transaction- broker, lender, escrow officer, notarizer, and foresure trustee while his corporation was suspended, and charged 24% interest. He lied us to have me and my husband who is the pastor of the church to sobordinate our Deed of trust in order to have his loan in the first position. When our church couldn't pay church attorney, the attorney dropped us, subcequently, church has to file bankruptcy Chapter 11 to protect church's asset. During the bankruptcy processure, we sold church real property for much less value, but was still far more than what church owed to the mortgage. In the mean time, the lawyer represented us in the state court file petion to change our chapter 11 to chapter 7. our bankruptcy lawyer did nothing to protect us because we refuse to put the sale proceed into his trust account. All the money been turned to Bankruptcy trustee. The church have nothing to relocate or operate. after 2 1/2 year, the trustee said there is money left for me and husband's claim. but trustee filed adversary processsur. we need attorney's help.
