Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California
My auto finance company transfered my file to their bankruptcy department. The bankruptcy department stated that they could not issue me a receipt for my payments, due to bankruptcy code. Should I continue to make payments, or wait until the proceeding are finished ?

If you wish to keep the car, you probably will want to continue to make payments to the old address or, if they've given you a payment address in the letter, to that address. You might speak with a lawyer about whether you should reaffirm the car loan. Though you might be paid up by the time of the bankruptcy discharge, it's been known to happen that a lender will repossess the vehicle without a signed reaffirmation agreement filed with and approved by the bankruptcy court.
