Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California
Auto Lease
I filed bk7 a yr ago and was discharged. I have an auto lease of 5 years I am on my 3rd yr and I want to return the car. On my credit report it shows that my account is in bk7 and have not been receiving any statements since my discharge. If I return the car can they charge me for the remaining money I owe or file a judgement against me for the remaining balance of the lease.

Re: Auto Lease
If you reaffirmed the debt, then you are still liable. Otherwise, you can probably turn the car back in with no liability--check first with the firm that filed your bankruptcy to be sure.
