Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California

Regarding Automatic Stay

While in Chapter 7 BK,

1). my condo HOA was billing me monthly for legal fees and

2). my when BK was eventually dismissed on Oct. 18, I received a bill from my HOA dated Oct. 1 for more legal services of $941.00 labeled Bankruptcy Denial Fee.

Doesn't the automatic stay protect me here?

There is no automatic stay once your case is dismissed.
