I just wanted to know if you can file bankruptcy on a judgement.

It most cases, a bankruptcy discharge will act as a permanent injunction that prohibits the creditor trying to collect the judgment. There are exceptions to every rule, so you should consult a qualified bankruptcy attorney in your area.

Bankruptcy does not automatically void judgment liens, so you need to make sure to file the appropriate motion with the court to have the lien removed if one has been filed against your property.

Certain judgments are not dischargeable -- for fraud, for intentional injury or harm, for injury caused while driving under the influence, for child support, and a few others. Otherwise, judgments -- like other debts -- are dischargeable in bankruptcy.
