Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California
Bankruptcy Chapter 7. My friend worked at a Law Firm 5/2008, before he became a lawyer, that represented me in a DUI case. The case finished. I still owe a balance of 5k to the law firm he worked, now, 3/2012, their suing me. I was informed that if my friend, who is now a lawyer, represents me in the bk-ch7 that it would be a conflict of interest. Any ideas if this law is true or if there's even a conflict of interest? Thank you in advance
