bankruptcy and child support

Does child support fall under the guidlines of a creditor since it is a state agency and would i be exempt in paying child support if i filed?

I don't think I understand your first question, but as to the second part, child support is never dischargeable under any chapter of bankruptcy, so you would need to keep making the payments.

Unfortunately, child support payments are non-dischargeable. In some instances paying these payments through a chapter 13 plan (100% payment required) is beneficial to the debtor.
