Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California
Bankruptcy confidentiality
If I file bankruptcy, what type of information or verification of my financial status is needed besides the form I will have to fill out? Will anyone other than my creditors be notified of my petition for bankruptcy, such as my employer?

The answers to your questions depend, in part, on what chapter you are filing. In a chapter 7 usually no additional info is needed on finances other than the schedules you fill out and sign under penalty of perjury, although the trustee may request tax returns or other items if he deems it necessary.
