Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California

Bankruptcy Dismissal

I just reasonly claimed banckruptcy in Illinois but i didn't appear in court to finalize it. So my question is that recently i just tried to get a apartment and the bankruptcy was still on my report. Now i just recieved the my dismissal papers and was wandering if i would remain on my credit and how long. Do i need to mail a copy of the dismissal to all the credit bureau's or what i'm lost?

Re: Bankruptcy Dismissal

More than likely, your bankruptcy was dismissed with a 6-month bar, which means you can't file another one for six months after the dismissal. The bankruptcy court sends out notices to all of your creditors. If you want to file another one and determine whether that's possible, perhaps locally, please let me know.
