Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California

Bankruptcy and the elderly

I would like to know if I can keep my home and my car. (I only owe 16K on my home and my car is paid for) and file bankruptcy ont all my credit card debts. I financially can not make it at my age (86 widowed). I live alone in my home and am struggling financially. My money owed monthly exceeds my income.

Whether you can keep your home and car depends upon, among other things, the equity in your home and car and other assets you may have. In most cases, there are sufficient exemptions to cover the home and car. If you live in the greater Los Angeles area and would like a more comprehensive consultation, please visit my web page (address below) and give me a call; I will be happy to assist.
