Yes, of course. A person can file bankruptcy at any time.

It's a good time to file for bankruptcy. However, certain debts are not dischargeable in bankruptcy -- i.e. injuries caused by drunken driving, child support, parking tickets, injuries/damages caused by fraud, etc. Feel free to e-mail me directly if you should have any specific questions.

You can file anytime, and it may be a good time to do so before there's a judgment against you. Still, check with an attorney, as some debts are not dischargeable in bankruptcy and you may need to pursue other options.
