Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California
Bankruptcy Laws
If I have to file bankruptcy inorder to get my name off of my ex-husband's Vehicle loan will I lose my car that I have a loan on? I am sure that he will default on the loan and insurance payments due to the fact that he is using drugs now, hence the divorce.

Short answer: First you have to meet the Ch. 7 requirements to file but once you do, if that is your only car, you won't lose it. There is a lot an attorney can save for the bankruptcy debtor. Feel free to contact me.
