Re: bankruptcy lawyers

Norm,

You should also be aware that under the California Rules of Professional Conduct of the State Bar of California, it is illegal for an attorney to share compensation with a non-attorney, and it is illegal for an attorney to pay a referral fee to someone such as yourself to find them new clients, unless (similar to the Federal Court System) it is to an approved attorney referral service. While we (attorneys) appreciate the offer, the best anyone could offer is a mutual referral.
