Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California
Bankruptcy: am I legally bankrupt?
My atty seems to have gone out of business before completing my bankruptcy. I moved, which may have distrupted his attmepts to reach me; now I am living outside the USA, and I would like to know: what can I do to determine whether under Calif law (I am a legal resident of Calif) I have been declared legally bankrupt? Whom do I contact? Is there a state agency that can tell me whether the atty completed the work? TIA

you need to check the court file. any attorney can do it for you, usually by computer.
