Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California
Bankruptcy Minimum
Is there a minimum amount of debt required for bankruptcy? (I had heard $25,000 was the minimum in order to file.) Also, if I have just lost my job, does that help my case for filing bankruptcy with regards to the loss of "disposable income"?

Re: Bankruptcy Minimum
No, there is no minimum. As far as whether losing your job helps, that depends on your total circumstances which can only be evaluated after a comprehensive consultation with a bankruptcy professional. Initial consults are usually free.
