Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California

After bankruptcy question

I have already filed a ch7 bk. I included my automobile loan in the ch. 7. I was not asked to re-affirm the debt at any point before, during, or after the bk. I continued to make my monthly payments until I could get a new loan. It has been a little over a year, I recently returned the vehicle to the lender. Now I am having problems getting a loan - because the lender is treating it as a reposession.

How do I convince my new lender that this vehicle has been discharged and I am no longer responsible for this debt?

Re: After bankruptcy question

If they don't believe you that it was discharged in BK, show them the BK papers listing the old lender as a creditor. If it's not that, but they're policy to treat it is a repo, find another lender.
