Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California

I recently incurred some major medical bills and have to file bankruptucy. I own a home and owe approx 160 on it (includes first mortage and secured lin of credit) the value is approx $175k will it be exempt?

Assuming you have no other major assets with equity, you probably would have no problem exempting your equity in the home in a Chapter 7 bankruptcy. Please let me know if you need legal assistance.
