I am trying to seek legal help in bankruptcy but cannot afford to pay legal fees? What can I do? I don't know where to seek help? Please help me find a pro bono attorney.

You have a couple of options. First, you can call your local legal aid society. They have income limitations, but if you are in financial straights, you may qualify. Second, you can meet with an attorney (generally you can get an initial consultation for free) to discuss options for paying for their legal services. In some instances, depending upon which chapter of bankruptcy you file, you can pay fees over time. Finally, you can stop paying all but your absolutely necessary bills to save to pay an attorney.
