Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California
Bankruptcy Term
I was told bankruptcy's were on your record for seven years. I filed in 93...the law changed to ten years. Am I still under the seven year time frame or because the law changed later do I follow the ten year frame?

Re: Bankruptcy Term
The current law allows credit reporting agencies to report bankruptcy for up to 10 years. It doesn't matter when you filed the case.
