Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California
My boyfriend is filing for bankruptcy I had co-signed for a car for him less than two month after buying the car his friends totaled the car in mexico the car is still in mexico what can I do to protect myself the car I am driving now is under his name so I will be losing that car and I will be left with a 17000$ pay off what can I do I can afford this

Law Answers That's the problem with co signing for somebody. You risk exactly what happened. You need to file bankruptcy if you can't afford to pay.
