Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California

Chap 7 Income

How are supportive monetary gifts of about 10-15k per year from family (mom and siblings) be viewed by creditors and the courts when filing Chap 7? Income from all other sources (self-employment) total less than 5k for each of the past 2.5 years. Will/can the creditors/courts come after/question those members for any reason? If so, are there any obligations for them to provide proof?

Re: Chap 7 Income

The only time it might come up is if the debtor applied for credit cards and misrepresented income on the applications as significantly greater than it actually was. Otherwise, I seriously doubt it should be of any concern.
