Chapter 7 Bankruptcy

Hello I am interested in filing for Chapter 7 Bankruptcy. I am a full time student a freelance web designer with two kids - currently making about $1200 a month.

My credit card debt is at $30,000.

I own 1 timeshare in bigbear and 1 car (In both my boyfriends name and mine) - which has approximately 15k on it.

How much would it cost for me to file for bankruptcy?

Will I lose my car?

Any recommendations in law firms here in Castaic, CA where I live?

I can also do a trade - web development, etc.

The easiest question to answer is: different lawyers charge different prices for the same service! There's no set price, although it can't be unconscionable.

Generally, people are able to keep their vehicles if they can make monthly payments.

An attorney would have to review your entire financial picture to determine what would happen with the timeshare and other debts.
