Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California

after a chapter 7 has been charged off ,could i quit claim hy home that i no longer live in back to the bank to avoid forclosure ,and not be charged. thank you.

The bankruptcy no longer is an issue as far as the property goes. You should work with the bank to see if it'll agree to take back the house. It'll save a lot of money and time if it doesn't have to foreclose. At the same time, you should speak with a tax advisor to make sure that you will face no tax consequences.
