Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California

Not sure which chapter to file ??

Would just like to now what chapter i would file and also what all i would need in order to do so.

I would just like to get rid of most of my credit card debts, and so the creditors will also stop calling. I do work , just got in over my head and want out ....Please help ..Also i heard that the Bankruptsy Laws were changing after the first of the year, is that true ???And if i was going to do so , i had to do so before Jan. 1rst..

Well, which chapter you need to file can only be determined after a comprehensive consultation. Probably your choices would be between CHapter 7 and 13. Either one would get rid of your credit card debts, with Chapter 7 being the most likely one for you.
