Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California
Clienmt Went Bankrupt Trustee is Demanding Back Payments Already Recived-Help!
We completed a large job for a client 1-2 years ago.
They paid us. Tecently we received a letter from the
trustee of the estate. They went bankrupt very soon after
they paid us and are demanding a return of the funds
saying it was a Preferntial Transfer of funds. I have
been advised and have looked at the law. It seems we
probably don't have much of a case. My question is that
should we offer to settle the claim or hope that the
amount $8,000 is financially mpractical for the estate of
this huge corporation to pursue.
Please contact me asp-I have additional information.

You can negotiate this, however you should have a bankruptcy attorney represent you. It will be well worth your while.

You should retain an attorney ...and sit tight. Do not offer any money back yet!!!
