Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California
I've consulted with a bankruptcy lawyer and put down a deposit of money but did not push through with him as I'm not happy with his services. He would not refund any of the deposit and is billing me for additional expense. Is this right? My deposit was almost 80% of what the total bill was, and now he wants me to pay more money eventhough I did not proceed with the filing with him?

Take a look at your retainer agreement and read what it says about whether the down payment is not refundable. If a person has complaints about an attorney, one can also contact the State Bar.
