Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California
Co-signer on a house
My ex-roomate is planning to file Chapter 7, I am a co-sigener on the house and the bills attached to the house. If he is the primary on the house do i also need to file bankruptcy to stop the creditors from coming after me?

If, after filing the Ch. 7, your roommate does not plan to make the payments to his lenders or on the other "bill attached to the house", as you say, then you will be liable. Whether or not you need to file bankruptcy is a decision to be made after consideration of all relevant personal circumstances.
