Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California
Second Co-Signer on sisters card
I have a card with my sister who is the primary cardholder, but I am the secondary co-signer. The card is paid off..I have debt on other cards under my own name that I want to file bankruptcy on. Will this affect my sisters' credit since I am a second co-signer on her card even though the card is paid off???

Re: Second Co-Signer on sisters card
It shouldn't. Besides, if you're not responsible for the card, but only a co-signer, you're not the debtor on that card.

Re: Second Co-Signer on sisters card
probably not. Since you do not owe any money, you do not have to list it on your BK.
