Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California
Credit Card Debt
My mother is planning on filing bankruptcy soon. I am listed on one of her credit cards as a user. If she files bankruptcy, will this effect my credit? What do I need to do in to protect myself?

Re: Credit Card Debt
It should not affect your credit unless you are obligated on the cards and fail to make payments on them.

Re: Credit Card Debt
If you are a user only and not responsible for the card it will not affect your credit but they will cancel the card and you will not be able to use it.
