Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California

credit report shows foreclosure one year after bankrupcy dismissed

My bankrupcy was dismissed 9/97. Prior to bankrupcy I found someone to buy my property. They took over payments and I received a letter from the bank saying they would reinstate the loan in those people's names. I signed nothing with the bank. I allowed the bank and the other parties to work out any details. Foreclosure proceedings started sometime later and completed 9/98. Ihave since found the bankrupcy and the foreclosure are negatives on my credit report. I want the foreclosure removed. What are the rules on situation?

This doesn't sound to me like a bankruptcy question. If you think they foreclosed improperly, you should contact a real estate attorney. If you are concerned about the reporting of the foreclosure on your credit report (and I don't see why that would matter to you since you already have a bankruptcy on it), then you need to contact the reporting agencies or an attorney who deals with consumer credit issues.
