Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California

Dismissed chapter 13

If I never appeared in court and never followed through with filing chapter 13, but it is still showing on my credit report, can this be removed, since the whole process was not completed?

Re: Dismissed chapter 13

The fact that you filed for bankruptcy is public record and you are stuck with that. However, you might be able to send a copy fo the dismissal order to the credit bureaus and get them to note that it was dismissed without a discharge. This should improve your credit rating somewhat.
