Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California

dismissed but creditors are still trying to take me to court

My chapter 7 was dismissed on Nov. 17, 2004 There is one creditor that has hired a lawyer and is trying to take me back to bankruptcy court I have complyed with all there letters sent back everything they asked for and still they say they didn't recieve anything and that I can make payments. I'm divorced, unemployed living off of 500. a month and help from the state. I tryed to explain to them I had planned on paying all my depts. But I didn't recieve any money from the divorce like I thought I was getting so I had to file chapter 7 what can I do about this?

If they've filed suit in superior court, send the court a notice of discharge in bankruptcy in pleading format, and attach a copy of your discharge.

If they're attempting to reopen your bankruptcy and bring a motion for nondischargeability of debt, have a local lawyer review it. Such motions can only be brought within the time limit specified, unless for unusual circumstances.
