Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California
Effect on Inmigration
Hi!
I am a naturalized US Citizen and my questions would be:
Would filing for bancrupcy affect my citizenship? and Would I still be able to petition any family relative to come to the U.S. legally?
Thanks

Re: Effect on Inmigration
Absolutely not! Bankruptcy law has nothing to do with immigration law so your citizenship is fine. You can still petition for your relatives.
Please contact my office for help on your bankruptcy case since it can be complicated. We can also help you with immigration matters.
