Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California
Is employer liable for unpaid wages (vacation) payable during bankruptcy? Stopped working for employer during their bankruptcy. Worked for employer before and during bankruptcy. Had used vacation. Employees not notified of bankruptcy. Some found out by accident. Employer exited bankruptcy after my employment ended.

It might be worth your while to think about hiring an attorney. The employer is probably in a chapter 11. It should be easy for an attorney to force them to change their position and pay your back wages. http://www.absolutebankruptcy.org/Chapter_7_Objections.htm
You and your coworkers need to pool your money together to get representation by an attorney, or, at the very least, pay an attorney for some guidance as to what your rights are.
