I need to file bankruptcy. I do not have the money to pay an attorney. I am looking for free advice on how to find Chapter 7.

The most important things are to sign the petition and supporting documents, and disclose all of your assets and all of your debts. The next important thing is to make sure you apply the proper exemptions. You can find some pretty good self-help books by Nolo Press and others at the library or bookstore. You might check the refurbished Western Addition branch at 1550 Scott (at Geary), and see if it has the books that could help you.
