How to file a claim for unsecured debt
We have a customer that has filed Bankruptcy, E-Biz Enterprises. They owe us almost $13,000.00 in freight bills. how do we file a claim for unsecured debt.

Just get a proof of claim form and file it with the Court. Depending on what chapter was filed, you should be provided with that form. If it was a ch. 11, it will be included with the notice of commencement of case. If it's a ch. 7 you will be notified later of the need to file a claim if, and only if, there are assets available for distribution. If you are not on the mailing list (and hence not getting notices) you may need to get an attorney to assist you.

The type of form to be used will depend on the type of Bankruptcy that is being filed by your customer. There is a substantial amount at stake so you should proceed with caution to ensure that your interests are protected.
